Kundapur, May 24: A worker sustained serious injuries and lost his life after a shed came down on him at Kumbhashi in the taluk on Thursday May 23.
The incident occurred when a bore well was being sunk in a privately owned site on Beach Road in Kumbhashi.
The deceased has been identified as Sushil Kumar (30) from Belgaum district, who since some time, was living in Kota Padukere.
The work of digging another bore well by the side of an existing one had been taken up, and the site was being dug when the tin sheet shed, constructed for keeping the motor, fell down.
Kumar, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to the hospital. But he breathed his last before reaching the hospital. He is survived by wife.
