Bantwal: Serial accident at Kodaje – two injured

Bantwal, May 24: After a bus, an Innova car and a Maruti Swift car got involved in a serial accident at Kodaje near Mani in the taluk on Thursday May 23, two persons suffered grievous injuries.

A private bus moving to Puttur from Mangalore hit the Toyota Innova vehicle coming from the opposite direction. As the driver of the Innova lost control over his vehicle in this accident, it hit a Maruti Swift car. Driver of the Innova, Unaid, and a passenger, Kasturi Shankar, suffered serious injuries. Both were shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore.

Reportedly, reckless driving and over-speeding on the part of the bus driver had caused the accident. The Innova was badly mangled in this accident.

A case was registered in Vittal police station. The policemen have taken up investigation.
