Mangalore: Two more complaints against ACP T R Jagannath

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, May 25: Nazeer, owner of Atlas Jewellery in Thokkottu, in a complaint to the city police commissioner, has alleged that assistant commissioner of police, T R Jagannath, had taken sides with a person, who had cheated him after purchasing  gold ornaments from his shop on credit. He has alleged that the ACP had threatened him of dire consequences.

A person named Majeed had reportedly bought gold ornaments worth five lac rupees from the above shop. He paid one lac rupees in cash, and handed over two cheques signed by his wife, Maimoona, for the remaining amount. Both the cheques were returned unpaid upon presentation, and manager of the shop, Sajeer, had filed a police complaint.

Nazeer has alleged that the ACP interfered in the matter when the police took up the case, collected both the cheques from the shop owner, and handed them over to Majeed. He then arranged for payment of half the amount due from Majeed, and sought time for the payment of remaining amount. “As the ACP had arranged this transaction, I agreed for the same,” Nazeer said in his complaint.

“As the money remained unpaid for long, I approached the ACP. He said he was not my employee to recover the money. He also challenged me to recover the money due from Majeed if I had the guts to do so. He threatened to close down my business if I filed a complaint in this regard,” Nazeer said in his complaint.

In the complaint, he has sought action against Majeed and his wife Maimuna, for cheating him after buying gold ornaments on credit, and the ACP for joining hands with the accused.

In the complaint, he has sought action against Majeed and his wife Memoona, for cheating him after buying gold ornaments on credit, and the ACP for joining hands with the accused.

In another complaint delivered to the city police commissioner on Friday May 24, ASI Shreekala accused ACP, T R Jagannath, of abetment towards filing a false complaint against her. "The ACP brought pressure on me to withdraw the earlier complaint of harassment filed by me, and to agree for an amicable understanding. As I did not give my consent to this suggestion, with the help of Mohan, a writer in the department, he has got a complaint registered against me and my husband, Sanjay Kumar, a case of defrauding people by running a scheme of doubling the investment," she said in the complaint.

Police commissioner, Manish Karbikar, confirmed receipt of the second complaint. He said that Shreekala has informed that she does not have the confidene of getting justice from the present inquiry, as ACP Jagannath, and DCP, Mutturaya, are officers of the same batch. The commissioner clarified that the two do not belong to the same batch, and that he has no other option, as the commissionerate here has only two DCP rank officers.

These are the same corrupt officers who nailed Naveen Soorinje for bringing out their weakness in Home stay attack. Must be suspended. Manglore is full of such communal officers. Seniors have their weakness to take action on juniors.

NEED OF THE DAY: Change the pattern of the entire Police force of the country. You will not find a single, 100% clean policemen in the existing lot. Give short retirement benefits to older ones, may be 10 years early if necessary. Recruit fresh lot with rigorous, strict training. Change the law if required about the punishment for fraudulent police.
You have to brain wash the top brat first. Top of all, change the PM first. As long as present one continue, the law and order will never improve. We need a action fellow, not a henpecked.

The compaint must go to the home ministry duly endosred by he local elected MLA. I am sure JR LObo is aware of the fact and he should imediately come to the rescue of the businessman. The culprit Majeed should be arrested and the ACP should be punished for his high handed involvement in this case. Let us see how the congress party will react to this episode.

Mr Nazeer, are you fool to hand over bounced cheque leaves back to custodian? Why can't approach Court?Again made a mistake of agreeing to receive part of the due and having no acknowledgement about balance amount on record!!!How did this case go direct to ACP?Blame yourself first rather than blaming others.

this season we have made a discovery of another corrupt cop ... will the commissioner keep quiet and make a drama of dismissing him and then sending him on transfer to some other place with the same rank and tehn get him back again .... i hope that for at least this time the commssioner does not act like a paper tiger and awards him punishment that is due for him justly and also set the lokayukta upon him to see how much of money is raked by them illegally and make the public aware of such corrupt cops in the system

This ACP jagannatha is misusing his powers to threaten complainants and their families of dire consequences. Why such a rogue police officer not suspended ? How long wil it take ? Are the higher authorities waiting for some causalities to take place under this ACP ? He is thorn in society, a weed, must be thrown out at any cost. Many higher officers must be trying to protect this ACP. Such big bosses also must be suspended. Protection is needed for Sreekala, and Nazeer families, NOT to ACP Jagannatha. This same ACP was brutal to victims of church attacks, homestay, pub attacks ... he was BJP man. His integrity towards job is questionable, his credibility is lost. He is a attacker on innocents. Home Minister kindly take care of ACP Jagannatha.

It is time the common man thinks of these Police Personnel - Can we depend on them?. Very dangerous trend within the law protectors. If all these 3 issues are really serious, it is time that this person is immediately dismissed from service as he can be a threat within the department and also to the common man. His financial background should also be checked.
