Kasargod: Under-trial escapes while being brought to court

Kasargod, May 28: A notorious prisoner, who was being brought for attending the hearing a case in which his involvement has been alleged on Monday May 27, succeeded in giving a slip to the escorting policemen, and making good his escape.

The incident occurred near the court complex here. P A Abdul Lathif alias Charal Lathif (40) from Chattanchal Tekkil, ran away when the party bringing him to the court complex reached near Vidyanagar bus stand. Although the policemen gave him a hot chase, he succeeded in disappearing through the crowd.

Lathif, who was already undergoing sentence at Kannur central jail for an earlier offence, was being brought to the local court in connection with a case. The policemen have now launched a manhunt for him.

    WHAT A DRAMA BY POLICE ? THEY ALLOW THE UNDER-TRIAL TO GO UNDER-GROUND ONCE THEY GET THIER SHARE AND ACT AS IF GIVING VERY VERY HOT CHASE.
