Mangalore, May 28: Former state chief minister (CM), D V Sadananda Gowda (DV), speaking to newspersons who met him on Monday May 27, said that Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah, and his cabinet colleagues, have been misleading people and confusing them through contradictory statements.

“The CM said he plans to examine the feasibility of supplying cheap liquor to the people. The excise minister says there is no such proposal. The CM had talked about the proposal to take over the administration of Udupi Krishna Math and Gokarna temple. But muzrai minister denies any such move. The confusion and lack of coordination between the CM and his ministerial team signals that the result of this ministry will not be good,” he analyzed.

When questioned about the issue of Yeddyurappa getting re-admitted into BJP, Gowda said that the issue is left to the national leaders of the party. He recollected a statement made by Yeddyurappa earlier that he would never return to BJP in his life.

He urged the union government to take concrete steps to find a solution to the naxal issue. He felt that rather than indulging in mud-slinging against each other, the union government should, in consultation with the state governments, draw up plans towards this end. He asked chief minister, Siddaramaiah, and home minister, K J George, to hold consultations and initiate measures to contain naxal menace in the state.
