M'lore: St Christophers association distributes books to needy

Mangalore, May 30: A programme was organized under the auspices of  the St Christopher Association (R), Mangalore on May 27 to distribute books to the needy children of its members.

The function was graced by Benedicta D’Souza, president, Episcopal city Warado, Mangalore, as the chief guest.

Distributing the books to the children on behalf of the association, D’Souza, exhorted the children to inculcate the values of life in them besides their studies. She had all praise for the association for providing such facility to the children of its member every year.

The director of the association, Fr Stany Goveas had a piece of advice to the children. He advised them to be helpful to their parents besides nurturing good character  throughout their life.

The president of the association, Victor J Menezes welcomed be gathering and introduced the chief guest. Harold D’Souza, secretary proposed a vote of thanks.

The honorary president, Sushil Norohna, and office bearers of the association were on the dais. Raymond D’cunha, assistant secretary conducted the programme.
