M'lore: Hotel Gateway celebrates World Environment Day

Mangalore, Jun 5: World Environment Day was celebrated in a unique manner by Hotel Gateway, a unit of Taj Group of hotels, here, on Wednesday June 5.

Saplings were planted in the premises of DC office compound, opposite to the hotel. Peter Nirmal, GM, Hotel Gateway, Vayanathayya Bhagawan,HR Manager, Sunil Raj, chief organizer and other room guests planted the saplings.

Saplings were also planted in the hotel premises, pool areas as well. Staffs Joy, H Soans, Krishna, Kamal Ashok, Milton and others were present on the occasion.

Addressing the media, Vayanath Bhagawan said that with a view to encourage greener surrounding and eco friendly environment, the hotel was been organizing such programs every year. Every year several programs have been organized in different places. Creating awareness about the importance of the day is another important part of this event. The hotel has been organizing such programs from the day it began functioning in the city, he said.
