Udupi: St.Peter’s Association Mumbai distributes free notebooks

Udupi, Jun 6: Free notebooks and uniform distribution’ programme was organized by St Peter’s Association Barkur – Mumbai at Maryhnol Higher Primary School Barkur here on Monday June 3.

President of St Peter’s Association Barkur  Peter Furtado and Udupi Taluk Panchayat president and also the vice president of Parents Teachers Association Gowri Poojary distributed the notebooks and uniforms to the needy students on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Udupi Taluk Panchayat president and also the vice president of the parents Teachers Association Gowri Poojary said that students should gain as much knowledge as possible and become good citizens of the country.

Correspondent of Maryhnol Higher Primary School Barkur Fr Valerian Mendonca presided over the programme.

In his presidential Message Fr Mendonca said that it is a good sign that St Peter’s Association has come forward to sponsor free uniforms and books to the students in a private school. It is the duty of the students to make good use of these facilities and study well and score good marks in their exams he said.

St Peter’s Association Barkur – Mumbai vice-president Vincent Fernandes, member Henry Roche, Ida Roche, School Headmistress Sarojini K and others were present on the occasion.
