M'lore: SDM PG Centre for Management, BASF industry academia tie up

Mangalore, Jun 7: SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research (MBA programme), Mangalore and BASF (German based MNC) have arranged industry academia partnership from the academic year 2013-14 without financial commitment by the institute.

The course is a significant CSR programme of BASF which will help in building brand image of both industry and SDM institutions.

BASF is a German based MNC having its branch at Mangalore.

The course consists of ten sessions of two hours each (20 hours). Top executives of BASF from Mumbai and other places will come and deliver lectures at weekends to the final MBA students on various subjects like corporate governance, business ethics, corporate world, partnering with society, work place dilemmas, mergers and acquisitions, successful role models, ethical issues in HRM, market capitalization, case studies on BASF and so on.

After ten sessions (20 hours) an evaluation will be conducted. A certificate with joint names of SDMMBA and BASF will be issued to the students.

The programme will be inaugurated by the chairman of BASF at the conference hall in the second week of August. President of SDME society Dr D Veerendra Heggade will preside over the function.
