Udupi: Rotary Club office-bearers take charge

Udupi, Jul 4: The oath-taking ceremony of Malpe-Kodevooru Rotary club office bearers for the year 2013-14 was held on Tuesday July 2 at Vasanth Mantapa of Shankaranaryana Temple. 

Rotary Club advisor Mitra Bhandarkar administered the oath taking seminar to president Poornima Janardhan.

 

On this occasion, she said, “Rotary members should join all programmes of the society and work with commitment. If the members serve the poor and needy through financial help then a real Rotarian will be developed.”

M Mahesh Kumar, newly appointed assistant governor of 2 region, in his address, said “Join in the activities of Rotary and bring change in your life.”

Assistant governor of 2012-13 Ashok Kumar Shetty and regional commander Prakash Shetty were present as chief guests at the programme.

On this occasion, financial assistance was provided for talent awards, medical assistance, and for providing facilities to Mudabettu School.   

On this occasion, assistant governor M Mahesh Kumar, Yakshachayagana Kalasindhu Award winner Padigaaru Lakshminaryana Uphadyaya, and Governor Jnana Vasantha Shetty were felicitated on behalf of Rotary.

Mahesh Kumar welcomed, secretary Janardhana Kodevooru thanked, and Ramesh K compered.
