Sullia: Biker loses life after colliding with bus

Sullia, Jul 5: The rider of a motor bike died instantly after being hit by a bus of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Thursday July 4. The accident occurred near Aranthodu in the taluk when the youth in question was moving to the town from Sampaje. 

The deceased has been identified as Ashraf (24), a resident of Goonadka, Sampaje. He used to operate a canteen at Gandhinagar here. At around 6 am, he had started from his home, and the accident occurred at the road bend at Aranthodu.

The place where this tragedy occurred has been identified as an accident zone.  It is located about half a km away from Aranthodu on the state highway. The road at this bend has lot of pot holes as a result of which drivers appear to be finding it hard to control their vehicles. During the last one week, three accidents have occurred here.
