Udupi: Nikhil Mathias to lead first YSM diocesan council

Udupi, Jul 5: The first YSM office bearers and animators training program of Udupi diocese was held at the Holy Cross Student House Katapadi, Udupi.  There were 112 students leaders  and 17 animators from 17 various schools of Udupi Diocese.

The program began with a prayer song, Fr Charles Menezes, YCS/YSM National Chaplain welcomed the Students and animators.

Fr Roshan D’Souza lit the lamp along with 2 student representatives. The chief guest of the program Fr Simon D’Souza delivered a humble message. Fr Edwin D’Souza, Youth Director of Udupi Diocese thanked everyone in his vote of thanks.

Norbert Misquith, resource person,  Josline vas, YCS/YSM Regional President and  Jason YCS president of Udupi Diocese were present on the dais. 

Norbert Misquith began the program with an ice breaking session. He gave the basic information of YSM movement. Fr Charles Menezes trained the animators.

Following are the new YSM udupi diocese office bearers for the year 2013–2014:


President- Nikhil Mathias (St Francis Eng. Med. High School, Mudarangady )
Vice President-Raksha Padias (Mount Rosary eng med high school)
Vice President-Sabron Mendonsa (St Marys eng .med.high school, Udupi)
Secretary-Nishmitha N Shet (Milagres eng med  high school, Kallianpur)
Joint Secretary-Justin Cardoza (St Francis Eng. Med. High School, Udyavar )
Treasurer-Johnson D'Souza (St Marys' Kan. Kundapur)
Reporter-Mallesh (St Johns' High School , Pangala)
R T S-Nagarjun Betta (Holy Rosary , Kundapur)

Animators Training was held in the mini hall. Fr Charles Menezes, YCS/YSM National Chaplain, explained more about the YCS/YSM, and the structure of the movement.
