Mangalore, Jul 8: In commemoration of the golden inter parish konkani singing competition of Konkani Natak Sabha, Mangalore south deanery inter parish singing competition was held on Sunday July 7th 2013 at Nithyadhar Nagar Church Hall here.
The Singing Competition was inaugurated by Parish Priest of Nithyadar Nagar Parish Preist Fr Francis Crasta by lighting the lamp along with Vice President of Nithyadhar Nagar Parish Pastoral Council Valerian Sequeira, President of Konkani Natak Sabha Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza (capuchin), Vice President Dolphy Saldanha, General Secretary Sunil Menezes, Asst Secretary Lynette P. Kamath and Treasurer Prem Lobo.
Speaking on the occasion Fr Francis Crasta congragulated the Konkani Natak Sabha for organizing the Deanery level competition and wished all the participants every success.
In both the categories 109 Competitors from Nithyadharnagar, Permannur, Ammembal, Fajir, Elyarpadav and Panir parishes of the Mangalore South Deanery participated in the competition.

Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Prem Lobo introduced the judges, Dolphy Saldanha compeered the programme and Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
Audience enjoyed the jokes enacted by Joseph Pinto, Angelore on the occasion.
Prize distribution ceremony for the qualifier of Semifinal was held after the competition. The Prizes were distributed by Asst Parish Priests of Permanur Parish Fr Roopesh Madtha and Fr Rohan Lobo, along with President of Konkani Natak Sabha Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza and Dominican Sister Sr Nathal Crasta from Nithyadhar Nagar. Michael Monteiro announced the results.
