Software engr from Saligrama ends life in Hyderabad

Udupi, Jul 10: Ashwini Nairy (22), from Saligrama in the district, who had bagged employment in a software company at Hyderabad, committed suicide within a few days of joining there.

Ashwini had joined the campus of Oracle India’s spacious campus at Madapura, Hyderabad, on June 24. During lunchtime on Tuesday July 9, she jumped out of the eighth floor of the office building to her death. In a suicide note left behind, the girl said she had decided to end her life, having been frustrated with life, and that she was solely responsible for her death.

Ashwini, who had bagged the job through campus interview at her college, had arrived at her office at 12 noon on Tuesday. It is said that her colleagues did not notice anything unusual about her. However, at about 1.30 pm, she suddenly jumped out of the window of eighth floor of the office building. Her friends said that this sudden action has left behind a trail of suspicions.

Ashwini’s father, Manjunath, is employed with Canara Bank. She has left behind parents and a younger sister. The family had settled in Bangalore since some time. Ashwini, a graduate in computer engineering, was a meritorious student throughout.

The police have undertaken investigation into her suicide.
