Bangalore: Robinson D’Souza appointed marriage registrar

Media Release

Bangalore, Jul 11: The government of Karnataka has appointed Robinson D’Souza to be the Marriage Registrar under Sec. 7 of the Indian Christian Marriage Act, 1872 for Bangalore City, with effect from June 20.

Section 5 of the Indian Christian Marriage Act provides for solemnizing the marriages of members of Christian community by or in his presence. He is also authorized to register such marriages and thus legally validate them.
