Mangalore, Jul 13: St Aloysius Institute of Management and IT (AIMIT) of St Aloysius College, Mangalore organized a one day student development program on Visual Merchandising and New product development on July 11.

The one day program was aimed to provide knowledge on innovation, merchandising and other related areas for great careers in the retail arena which is important in today’s booming market. The one day program saw  Elroy Monis and Venkatesh Amin, both assistant professors in the MBA dept at AIMIT giving the students latest information and ideas on visual merchandising and new product development which could be very useful.

The program had 125 participants from undergraduate commerce and management courses. The SDP was made very interactive and with lot of activities. The students were very happy and gave a lot of positive feedback and requested the management for more of such programs.

The program was inaugurated by Fr Denzil Lobo rector of Aloysian Institutions and Director of AIMIT who spoke on Jesuit traditions and pedagogy and the innovations at AIMIT. The programmme concluded with professoer Rajani Suresh the chief guest for the valedictory telling the students to be involved in the society, be concerned about the problems in the society and work for a better India. All the students were presented participation certificates.
