Udupi: St Mary's College, Shirva honours bishop Dr Gerald

Udupi, Jul 13: “We are living in the information age where education has been transformed into a source for obtaining information and earning livelihood. Evolution of humanity through honesty, courage, love and compassion is the main objective of education,” said Udupi bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo.

He was speaking at the thanksgiving programme and inaugural ceremony of student council of St Mary College, Shirva.

Fr Stany Tauro, chief priest of Shirva Church presided over the function.

Scholarships were distributed to meritorious students. Student welfare officer Prof Pascal D’Sa introduced the guests. Leaders of student council Rayan Lionel Monis, Jaison Benjamin Furtado, Supritha, Sushma  were present.

The bishop was feliciated on the occasion by the College.

College principal professor Rajan V N welcomed.

Ankita and Rashmi compered the programme.

Fr. tany Tauro, Mr. Pascal D'sa, Principal and other student council members Inaguating St. Mary's College Student Council. Long live St.I am proud to be a first batch student of St. Mayr's college. Long live St. Mary's college.
