Karkala: Woman accuses husband, his family of harassing her

Karkala, Jul 18: Shashikala (40), a resident of the taluk, has lodged a complaint in Karkala police station, claiming that she was harassed by her husband and his family members.

Shashikala got married to Kishore of Padumarnadu, Kesarugadde on June 12, 2011.

It is also alleged that after marriage Shashikala’s husband, sister-in-law and her daughter were harassing her mentally as well as physically.

Shashikala also stated in her complaint that when she was in parental home, her husband Kishore, sister-in-law Suchitra, Sushila, sister-in-law’s husband Satish and sister-in-law’s daughter Shabari illegally entered into her house. Kishore allegedly attacked Shashikala with a knife and injured her right elbow while others abused and threatened to kill her.

Police have registered the case and investigation is on.
