Kundapur, Jul 19: “The waves of political change are occurring at a national level. People of the country have given prominence to the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi who has already taken the election responsibility for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and is actively participating in election campaigns. So, all party activists should prepare for the forthcoming elections,” said Lalaji Mendon, former MLA of Kaup Legislative Assembly, area election in-charge during the selection of representatives.

He was speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of newly-selected party representatives at Hotel Hariprasad during its ‘Akshatha Convention’ in Kundapur on Wednesday July17.

Rajesh Kaveri took responsibility as the newly-appointed Kundapur area committee president. Udupi district BJP president Uday Kumar Shetty inaugurated the programme. Regional committee immediate past president B Kishor Kumar said all sincere activists should work promptly to organize the party for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.

“Morality of telling that I believe in the party has stayed in me. I came in as a common party worker but the party has given me various responsibilities. I have the satisfaction of performing the duties truthfully and in future also, I will work actively for the betterment of the party,” added Mendon.

BJP youth wing president Shankar Ankadakatte, minority division president Abdul Siyal, backward division president Gopal Kalanji, party veteran leader Pundalika Nayak, and Shivaram Udupa were present on this occasion.

Malini Sathish compered while B Kishor Kumar welcomed.
