Karkala, Jul 23: In another incident which potrays the lack of care on behalf of the parents, a three year old baby girl died after falling
into hot water which was meant for her bath.
The incident took place in Jharkal at Yerlapady. The deceased baby has been identified as Samruddi (3), daughter of Sadashiv
Acharya.
On July 19 around 9 am, Sadashi’s wife had filled up a tub with hot water to give bath to baby. Meanwhile, the baby accidentally fell
into the hot water and sustained burn injuries.
The baby who was admitted to Manipal hospital died around 3:30 am on July 22.
A case has been registered at the Karkal police station.
