Matt Damon vacations on Costa Rica's Pacific coast

San Jose, Jul 24 (IANS/EFE): US actor Matt Damon, famous for such films as "Invictus" and "The Bourne Identity", is currently vacationing on the Pacific coast beaches of Costa Rica, media reports said.

The actor arrived in Costa Rica July 15 and has been seen on the Pacific beaches of northern Costa Rica, a favourite getaway for international celebs because of their natural beauty and privacy.

Damon, who loves to surf, signs autographs and poses with people who want their picture taken with him in the friendliest possible way.

Costa Rican beaches have been visited this year by several world-famous personalities like Australian actor Christopher Hemsworth, star of the movie "Thor", and his wife, the Spaniard Elsa Pataky.

The two were in Costa Rica in January, the same month that actress, singer and former teen idol Miley Cyrus was seen there with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, Christopher's brother.

The beaches of Guanacaste on Costa Rica's Pacific coast are a favourite holiday retreat for the rich and famous like Mel Gibson, Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and more.
