Mangalore, Jul 29: The inauguration of the newly introduced M Com course of St Aloysius Evening College was held on Saturday, July 27 at 5 pm in the Audio Visual room of the College.

Prabhakara Neermarga, deputy registrar, Mangalore University was the chief guest while Fr Denzil Lobo, rector, St Aloysius College Institutions presided over the function. Fr Michael John, administrator, Manohar Serrao, Principal, Ravi Shetty, vice principal, Dr Donald Lobo, dean faculty of commerce and Dr V Basil Hans, coordinator of the PG course, were present during the function. The MC, Dr Charles V Furtado, conducted the programme. 

In his speech, Prabhakara Neermarga stressed on the importance of Higher Education in the contemporary globalised world, and expressed his confidence that the College would achieve exemplary success in empowering the youth of Mangalore in the fields of entrepreneurship and commerce.

Fr Denzil Lobo, rector, St Aloysius College Institutions, in his presidential remarks reminded the audience of the rich legacy of Jesuit Education and challenged the staff and students to rise to greater heights in providing quality education at the Post Graduate level.

With a history of more than 47 years & re-accredited by NAAC with a B grade, the College has been in the forefront of higher education, offering relevant and career-based diploma, certificate and degree programmes catering to the youth, especially to those who work during the day.
