Kasargod: 8 injured in bus-lorry collision at Uppala

Kasargod, Aug 3: A head on collision between a KSRTC bus and a lorry near Uppala gate, injured eight passengers traveling in the bus. 

The bus was plying to Kasargod from Mangalore and the lorry was heading towards Mangalore. 

Bus passengers Theresa (34) from Mangalore, Navin(35) from Talapady, Krishna Prasad (35) from Manjeshwar Bejja, Andu (45) of Hosangadi  who were injured, have been admitted to a private hospital at Uppala.

Lorry driver and cleaner and two other bus passengers are recuperating in a hospital in Mangalore. The driver and cleaner of the lorry were pulled out of the badly damaged vehicle with great difficulty.

The traffic on the national highway was blocked for sometime due to the accident.
