Mangalore, Aug 8: ‘Good Clinical Practice’, a workshop jointly organized by the pharmacology department, A J Institute of Medical Sciences, and Indian Pharmacological Society, was held on recently at the college auditorium.
A J Shetty, president, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, inaugurated the workshop. The occasion was presided over by Dr Prakash Diwan, president, Indian Pharmacological Society.
Nearly 150 delegates from different parts of the country took part in this two-day-long programme. The heads of the various reputed medical colleges and pharmaceutical industrial firms participated as the resource persons.
Dr Y K Guptha, unit head, pharmacology unit, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Bikas Modi, secretary, Indian Pharmacological Society, and Dr Diwan, Dr Dinesh and team took part as the resource persons and made the event successful.
Dr Prashanth Shetty of Laxmi Memorial Trust, Dr Amitha Marla, AJIMS, dean Dr Ramesh Pai, Dental College principal Dr Sureshchnadra, Dr Mohandas Rai, and Dr Seethalakshmi were present on the dais.
Event co-ordinator Dr Rai welcomed and Dr H N Gopalakrishna proposed the vote of thanks.
