Bantwal, Aug 12: 'Aatidu Onji Dina' was observed in Kedalike Higher Primary School on Saturday August 10. Kavalapadooru gram panchayat president Yakoob presided on this occasion. Panchayath vice-president Sunandha, panchayatn member Vishwanath Shetty, school development committee president Diwakardas, vice-president Uma R Bhat, KDP member Mohan Achar, Yakshagana artiste Dish Shetty Kavalakatte, and Punjalkatte Swasthik friends Club former president Prabhakar P M were present as guests at the programme.

Aladapadavu Aksharapadavu Prathistana convener Gopal Anchan briefed about the importance of the month of 'Aati' in Tulunadu. "The celebration of Aati was not the celebrations of orthodox customs but it was the lifestyle of Tuluvas and an essential part of life. During the hard times of those days, to be away from diseases, hunger, free from fear, Tuluvas framed certain laws later which later became the celebration. In the celebration of 'Aati'," he added.
