Independence Day celebrated at Kaup Bungalow ground

Udupi, Aug 15: The independence day was celebrated in Kaup Bungalow grounds under the aegis of Kaup national festivals celebrations committee.  Kaup MLA and minister of state for urban development, Vinay Kumar Sorake conducted the programme.

Speaking after the flag hoisting ceremony at the grounds, he said that the government has introduced several programmes such as Anna Bhagya and Ksheera Bhagya.  It is necessary to have a clean hearted cooperation from all to make them reach everybody.  I am bound to conduct development programmes in Kaup constituency on a priority basis, he said.

The programme was attended by Zilla panchayat member Shankar Poojary, Taluk panchayat member Shambhavi Kulal, Kaup grama panchayat president Usha Shenoy, Kaup grama panchayat vice president Dinesh Muloor, deputy tahsildar Balakrishna Rai, excise inspector Ganesh Balegar, Kaup circle inspector Shivananda Valekar, Kaup inspector Archana K, criminal department SI Rajendra Naik, primary health centre officer Dr Rabindranath Bolar, Kaup block congress president Navindchandra J shetty, former grama panchayat president Yogish Rai and members of grama panchayat.

Scouts and guides of Kaup dandatheertha group of institutes and NCC students of Kaup Mahadevi High School participated in the programme.

Member of Kaup national festivals celebration committee welcomed the gathering and conducted the programme.  Kaup grama panchayat development officer Sunder Prabhu thanked.
