Karkala: Musical evening held at St Lawrence parish

Karkala, Aug 16: To commemorate the annual feast of St Lawrence Parish (Attur), a musical evening was organised for the first time at the church ground by Joel Mathias and Joel Attur recently.

The gurkar of Kalangan, Eric Ozario with his wife Joyce Ozario; former Mr World, Raymond D’souza, parish priest Fr George Dsouza and Fr Charles were the guests for the evening.

Joel Mathias welcomed the gathering and acknowledged the youth for being the real treasures of the society. He was happy to see the support in such large numbers. Hymns were sung by a band named ‘Silver Tones’.

Arun Danthi, was the host for the musical evening. He commenced by saying, “Music is an indispensible part of life and its presence is felt everywhere from a baby’s first cry till one’s last breath.”

The live band led by Joel  Attur and his  group called ‘Silver Tones’ kept the crowd on their toes throughout the function and  ‘Bindas  Fernal’ group amused the audience with their rib tickling jokes.

Eric and Joyce Ozario added flavour to the show by their live performance and sung ‘Suryachi kirna’ while Raymond D’souza stunned the crowd with his spectacular body .

Youth of Attur parish were felicitated for their continuous support and enthusiasm to make the evening successful. The program ended at 9:30 pm with a Baila dance session.
