Mangalore: SDM and BASF to host academic parternship program on Aug 21

Mangalore, Aug 19:  Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of business management and post graduate centre for management studies and research (MBA programme) in collaboration with  BASF ( German Based MNC ) will be organizing a seminar series which will be based on an industry academic partnership program to be held at 10:45 am, on August 21 at SDMCBM conference hall, Kodialbail.

The  seminar will be inaugurated by Prasad Chandran, chairman BASF companies in India and head South Asia and professor T C Shiva Shankara Murthy, vice chancellor; Mangalore University will be the chief guest.

The program will be presided by Padma Bhushan and Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshetra  Dharmasthala Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

The series will be based primarily on the topic 'corporate governance and business ethics'. Every weekend a series of seminar would be organized; a total of 10 sessions would be conducted in a time limit of 20 hrs respectively, experts from the industry will deliver a talk on important issues on the following topics:

     a) Corporate Governance
     b) Business Ethics
     c) Corporate World
     d) Partnering with society
     e) Work place dilemmas
     f) Mergers and Acquisitions
     g) Successful Role Models
     h) Ethical Issues in HRM
     i) Market Capitalization
     j) Case Studies on BASF and so on

After a completion of minimum 10 sessions (ie.20hrs) an evaluation will be conducted by a test. A certificate will be issued to the students with the BASF and SDM seal.

This event will be compulsory for all second year MBA students. This program can be attended free of cost.

A high tea in the pantry of the SDMCBM conference hall will be organised for the attendees at 10:30 am on August 21.
