Kasargod: Theives loot cash and jewellery from two houses

Kasargod, Aug 20: Robbers who entered the houses of C B Abdulla and Bangalore’s businessman Mohammed Ashraf in Deli Kuvathotti here have decamped with cash and jewellery on Sunday, August 18, 2013 evening. 

Fifteen pounds of gold and Rs 1.3 lacs are taken away from the house of Abdulla Haji and Rs 2,500 are stolen from the house of Ashraf.

The residents of Abdulla Haji’s house had gone to the house of their relatives for wedding at 4.30 pm and the theft was detected at 10 pm, when they returned.  When they could not open the front door and went to the back door, they found out that the door was broken open.  The robbers had closed the front door from inside before leaving.

The house people from Ashraf’s house had gone to Kasargod in the evening and found out the theft when they came back.  Electricity was disconnected during both the thefts.

The police and finger print experts have arrived at the spot and conducted investigations.
