Bantwal, Aug 28: "Panchayats can be developed and converted as model panchayats only when the people representatives and officials work with politeness and understanding," said U T Khadar, state minister of health and family welfare.

He was addressing the Gramasamparka meeting held at Gramapanchayat’s Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, held on Tuesday August 27.

It is not our culture to put hurdles on the development of the grama. Whenever you face obstacles, proceed with the work with faith and confidence, he said.

Be friendly with ordinary people and fulfill their just needs, he suggested. The PDOs and secretaries should ensure that the panchayat functions properly. The speed of work of the officials should be more than that of the people representatives. They should ensure that there are no issues, he said.

Former member of Zilla panchayat Ummar Farooq, Meramajalu grama panchayat president Vrinda Poojary, Former president Yogish Prabhu, Pudu grama panchayat president Laxmi, vice president Mohammed Sharif, Tahsildar Malleswamy, Taluk Panchayat CEO Vishwanath Poojary among others were present.

    Mr.Khader you first understand the problem facing in Panchayath level after your government in Karnataka, then PDOs will help people.
