Kundapur: Lorry rams into bridge, no casualties

Kundapur, Aug 30: After trying to divert away from a car which was plying, from an opposite direction, a lorry rammed into the bridge nearby and was damaged at Talooru near Jaladi.

The lorry which was transporting cotton from Kottayam to Mumbai, hit the bridge on the National Highway 66, after the lorry driver escaped from colliding with a car which was overtaking another lorry from the opposite direction.

It is also said that if the lorry was over the speed limit, it would have broken the bridge and fallen into the steep water below the bridge causing more damage. Kundapur Police have cleared off the road. The lorry was removed later in the night.

Due to incident the lorry chase and radiator have been completely destroyed.
