Kundapur: District-level drawing contest ‘Gajavarna 2013’ concludes

Kundapur, Sep 2: “Art is essential in daily life. It keeps your mind active. While competing in contests, don’t think about victory or defeat but participate with the sports sprit. This forum will help you present your art,” said veteran artist Bojju Handa.

He was inaugurating the district-level ‘Ganapathi’ drawing competition ‘Gajavarna 2013’ organized by Sadhana Sanghama Trust (R) ahead of ‘Ganesha Chaturthi’ in Junior Rotary Lakshminarasimha Kala Mandhir, Kundapur, on Sunday September 1.

On this occasion, B Kishor Kumar, a youth leader, said, “Sadhana Sangama is doing the work of increasing the rich cultural beauty of Kundpur.  Sanghama also organized nice programme which rapidly reaches heats of art lovers. It is also a programme which gives importance to culture during modern times which is restricted to text books.”

Journalist U S Shenoy was present. Shamanthaka Ithal led the prayer, Narayan Ithal president of Sadhana Sangama, welcomed and presented the introductory note. Chethan Kiran comepered. A total of 326 students were present on the occasion.
