Mangalore: Father Muller Hospital holds health camp

Mangalore, Sep 3:
Father Muller Medical College Hospital in association with Civil Contractors Association, Lions Club, Urwa stores and KMC Hospital had organized one day health camp on Sunday September 1, at Shree Sharada Vidya Peeta, Urwa stores, here.

The health camp was organized with the objective of providing free medical examination in order to provide better health care to the marginalized sections of the society. The health camp started with the inaugural function.





The chief guest of the function was Purushotham Kottary, president of Civil Contractors Association.

Guru Prassad, president, Shree Sharadha Pooja Association, L C Colaco, president, Lions Club, Urwa stores, Lions Regional President, Francis Ronald Colaco, District 317- D Governor, K C Prabh, Dr Vishnu Priya, KMC, Dr Perer George, Father Muller Medical College were also present for the programme.

The programme was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

The chief guest while addressing the gathering said, “Free health checkup and blood donation are two good initiatives. When health care has been very expensive poor people take this opportunity to undergo health checkup which will help in having healthier society.” He also appreciated the blood donors and also said if blood is donated with a gap of three months it is a healthy habit and there is no bad effect on the body.

The health camp was divided into medicine, OBG, orthopedics, dermatology, ENT and ophthalmology departments where the volunteer doctors from Father Muller Medical College Hospital gave initial health care to the patients. The patients who require higher care were referred to Father Muller College Hospital for the required health care and will be treated in the concessional price.

Good number of people participated in the camp.
