Wish Kareena, Imran were married to each other: KJo

Mumbai, Sep 10 (IANS): Filmmaker Karan Johar, whose new production "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" features Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, says the duo looks so good together on screen that he wishes the two had exchanged vows off screen.

Both Kareena and Imran are married in real life. While Kareena is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, Imran wed his long-time lady love Avantika.

Talking about Kareena and Imran's pairing in the movie, Karan said: "They both are so gorgeous. How can anyone not be appealed by them? It's just that they have different spouses. I wish Kareena and Imran were married to each other."

Asked if it is even practically possible, he joked about it and said: "Even now it can happen. We can't say anything. Nothing is impossible."

Reacting to Karan's comment, Kareena asked: "Phir Saif ka kya hoga? (Then what about Saif?)"

This is the second time that Kareena and Imran have been paired. They were earlier seen in romantic-comedy "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" (2012).

Karan, Kareena and Imran were present at the trailer launch of "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" Tuesday.

The actress, who dons cotton and bandhini clothes in the film, has given complete credit to fashion designer Manish Malhotra for her look in the movie.

"Manish is like my brother. We have worked together in 'Jab We Met' and '3 Idiots'. I hope even with this film, the looks will be iconic. I have worn a lot of bandhini kurtas in the film," she said.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" is slated to release Nov 22.
