M'lore: Poojary inaugurates All College Student Assn

Mangalore, Sep 14: The All College Student Association for the year 2013-14 was inaugurated by formed union minister B Janardhan Poojary during a programme held at Town hall on Saturday September 14.

The oath taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the association was led by State youth services and fisheries minister K Abhayachandra Jain.

Speaking on the occasion, B Janardhan Poojary said, “Students are the future of our country. The life of students should be a role model to others. They should seek guidance from elders in all their work.”

“Youth power is precious and no other power can beat this,” said Poojary. He asked the students to see to it that no immoral activities takes place in college campus.

He also asked students to achieve more and prove that they can build the nation, and thus bring changes in the society.

On the occasion, former minister Poojary asked few general knowledge questions to the students gathered and also rewarded cash prizes for giving correct answers.

Minister Jain said that he was extremely happy as the programme was inaugurated by a veteran politician like Janardhan Poojary who is a role model to all upcoming politicians. He asked the members to work for student rights.

He advised students to inculcate good character and build corruption free society.

Mithun Rai, district youth congress president welcomed the gathering while Rajshekar Madanthar compered.

Former mayor Shashidar Hegde, NSUI president Ashith Pereira, KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, corporators Praveen Chandra Alva, Ashok D K, Kavitha, Rathikala, Harikrishna Bantwal, All College Student Association president Rupesh Rai, Padmanab Amin, association office bearers, among others were present.

    Let Poojary explain corruption in congress, every day the skeletons are falling from the cupboard.
    now dont let the students get into politics -its time for them to study - and be the building blocks of the nation .
    Today fast changing world one cannot buy votes -rig votes - but w e need good leaders who are tall -honest - sincere -highly professionals like Dr. Kalam -dr. Raguram Rajan- Dr. nelielkani- dr. sam pitroda-
    -elect only solid personalities who are straightforward - highly talented - strong like sardar vallbhai patel.-great moral character- knows his subject well-peoples man.
    One who speak on ECONOMY .
    NATIONAL TV should host debates on every candidate MLA/MLC/CM/PM/MINISTER to interview them -their charisma- dynamism- their personality- caliber- their IQ-their vision-
    what do they think of politics -how they will take India to be no :1 economy of the world?
    Can they understand INDIA - THE PEOPLE OF INDIA.
    the fabric of India? To bind the nation as one strong secular India.
    can he rule like Emperor ASHOKA .
    Can he rule like king Akbar?
