Bantwal, Sep 18: Minister in charge of Dakshina Kannada district, B Ramanath Rai promised of highest possible financial assistance from the government and his personal funds for the Vishwakarma community hall being built in Bantwal under the leadership of Vishwakarma Social Service Society, Jodumarga, B C Road.

He was responding at an annual worship and anniversary function to commemorate 20th anniversary of Vishwakarma Social Service society.

Vishwakarma community which is identified as backward, should strengthen its stand in the society and political backing is essential for it, he said.  Stating that the government is responsible for all round development of the community, he asked them to make use of recently established Vishwakarma Development Corporation for the purpose.    

Manoj Acharya, president of the society handed over a memorandum to the minister.  Honorary president B Jayaprakash Acharya, Secretary Prakash Acharya Thumbe, religious secretary Purushotham Acharya Thumbe etc were present.  Minister Ramanath Rai was felicitated on the occasion.
