Moodbidri firing: Seven apply for anticipatory bail

Moodbidri, Sep 30: Seven people allegedly involved with a shootout incident between lawyer Shanti Prasad Hegde and a student on September 25, have submitted a petition to the Sessions court for anticipatory bail.

An attempt to murder case is registered against lawyer Shanti Prasad Hegde, Divya Verma, Ratnakar Devadiga, Santhosh, Prashanth, Ashok Jain and Prasad Alva.

In view of the developments, all the seven have requested for anticipatory bail on Friday September 27.  The public prosecutor has submitted his objection on Saturday September 28 and the court has reserved its verdict for Monday.

In the same incident an attempt to murder case is registered in the FIR against student Tanvir Ahmed and two others.
