Karkala, Oct 1: Karkal youth Congress president Ravishanker Sherigar has been appointed as member of south western railway (DRUCC) section advisory committee by the central government.
He will be working as a member of south western railway advisory committee till 2015. Sherigar has been appointed on recommendation of ministers Veerappa Moily and Mallikarjuna Kharge. Sherigar has expressed his gratitude to them and the central government for the appointment.
Besides giving suitable suggestions on railway functions, he will be participating in a discussion on local railway matters, said Sherigar.
