Karkala, Oct 1: Minister of higher education in the state, R V Deshpande has proposed to start 40 first grade colleges including the one in Muniyalu, said former MLA Gopala Bhandary in a press release here.
Dr M Veerappa Moily, petroleum minister at the center, MP Jayaprakash Hegde and district in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake were requested for first grade colleges in Bailur and Muniyalu, he said.
While the work on Bailur first grade college is in progress, Muniyalu first grade college will start functioning from next year, said MLA Bhandary.
