Mangalore, Oct 2: A minor incident of fire was reported at Amazon restaurant in Empire Mall here on Tuesday October 1 evening.
Sources said that the fire broke out in the kitchen area of the restaurant. The employees swung into action and doused the fire with the help of fire extingiushers. Gas cylinders were quickly moved away to prevent further damage.
The fire personnel also rushed to the spot and ensured that the fire did not spread.
The extent of damage and the cause are not yet known.
As a precautionary measure, the people in the mall were evacuated.
