Kundapur: Bus topples, 12 injured

Kundapur, Oct 2: A private bus is said to have toppled near BH cross, Balkur on Tuesday October 1 morning at about 1.30 am.

The bus was plying from Shimoga to Kundapur when it toppled on the right side of the road at BH cross, Balkur due to negligence of the driver.

The injured are Krishna Murthy (30), John D’Sa (45), Kumar Naik (27), Chandavi (65), Bashir (30), Nijam (27), Hanumanthappa (69), Praveen, Mujadhin (23), Anjaneya (38), Bhaskar (30) and Padnabha (55).

The injured have been admitted to a private hospital at Kundapur. Most have escaped with minor injuries due to an electric pole which prevented injuries to the passengers. Both the bus and pole are badly damaged.

A case is registered in Kundapur traffic police station.
