Will Dussehra be lucky for Dil Raju, again?

Chennai, Oct 2 (IANS): Producer Dil Raju is upbeat and confident about his upcoming Telugu action-drama "Ramayya Vasthavayya" doing well at the box office.

This is so because it is coming out during Dussehra. His earlier films "Kotha Bangaru Lokam" and "Brindavanam" were released during the festive season and both of them turned out to be blockbusters.

"Ramayya Vasthavayya" starring Junior NTR is releasing Oct 10 worldwide.

"It will be a hattrick of sorts because our films such as 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam' and 'Brindavanam' were released during Dussehra and they turned out to be successful. I expect the same from 'Ramayya Vasthavayya' as this festival has been very lucky for me," Raju told IANS.

"Just like the other two films, 'Ramayya Vasthavayya' is also high on family quotient, and I'm sure it will appeal to the masses. Also, the delay in the release has created a good buzz around it," he added.

While "Kotha Bangaru Lokam" released in 2008, "Brindavanam" came out in 2010.

Directed by Harish Shankar, "Ramayya Vasthavayya" was earlier scheduled to release in September, but it was postponed due to the ongoing political turmoil.

The film also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Shruti Haasan and Hamsa Nandini in important roles.
