Jeddah, Oct 14: Having started the Haj volunteer service for this year with the first Indian Haj flight to Saudi Arabia, India Fraternity Forum on Sunday October 13, the 8th of Dhulhajj flagged off the first batch to Muna.

Saleem Qadri, general secretary of Indian Pilgrims Welfare Forum (IPWF) flagged off the first batch of 100 IFF volunteers, after giving a brief inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance and benefit of this volunteer service.

First batch to Muna will guide the pilgrims as some of them would be wandering in Muna for their tents and from midnight of 8th DhulHajj, they will be engaged in assisting the pilgrims leaving to Arafat by Mashaer trains to reach there to perform the stay in Arafat, which is the most important ritual of Haj. Earlier, a team of 75 IFF volunteers from Makkah has already arrived Arafat they will guide pilgrims arriving Arafa via Mashaer railway station to their tents.

Mohd Iqbal Chemban, Hajj coordinator of IFF welcomed the guests and volunteers and Ashraf Morayur, IFF general coordinator Jeddah delivered a closing speech. The program began with the recitation from Noble Quran by Sheikh Abdullah of Chennai and E M Abdullah; IFF regional coordinator presided over the function.
