13 Delhi bikers detained for ruckus, 14 fined


New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANS): Police Saturday said they detained 13 bikers for creating a ruckus during a Valmiki Jayanti procession here, impounded seven vehicles and also fined 14 people.

According to police, the ruckus happened Friday evening on roads in central Delhi when a convoy of over hundred vehicles assembled to participate in the procession.

"Few bikers were riding dangerously and creating a nuisance on the roads. The policemen deployed near Mandir Marg area detained 13 people and impounded their vehicles," a police officer told IANS.

He added that 14 people were also fined.
