Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club hosts annual get-together

Bahrain, Oct 23: Karnataka Social Club held their annual get-together on Wednesday October 16 at the Zezenya Pool, Kanoo Gardens, Salmaniya. The venue consists of a beautiful garden, with swimming pool and trees forming a perimeter.

The day started off with the typical Mangalorean breakfast, Idli-Vada Sambaar and the Sajige-Bajil. The picnic was with many outdoor games.

To start with, a knock-out throw ball tournament was conducted, treasure hunt and bursting the balloons for children, alphabetic housie and pick candies for small children, a relay swimming race for all age groups, breaking the pot for ladies, tug-o-war, coconuts breaking challenge with over 175 members and children enjoying at the zezenya pool.

Afternoon lunch was served by Udupi Palace Restaurant. The main attraction of the day - the best Bermuda wear contest for male and female category saw nearly 40 participants taking part. The winners were judged by audience poll.

There was music playing over the sound system. It was great to see the kids in the swimming pool throughout the day. The picnic was wonderful and a great time. As usual there seems to be more and more people every year and that is a great thing.
