Gangolli -Riyadh Jamaath celebrates Eid Al-Adha

Riyadh, Oct 23: Gangolli Muslim Jamaath Riyadh Unit organized its biggest event of the year, a spectacular ‘Eid Ul Adha - 2013’, at Al Azizia Resort, here, on Tuesday October 15.

The program began with a recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Faeeza Rahman. 

Soon after the Qirath, Br Fazlu Rahman Kolkar, president of Riyadh Jamaath welcomed all the guests and gave a brief introduction about Gangolli Welfare Riyadh Unit. Brother Abdussalaam Kolva (treasurer) read the yearly report.

Special guest of the event Dr Firoz Mulla (assistant principal of Al Wurood International School, Jeddah) addressed the gathering. He enlightened about benefits of being a member of an association and the importance of charity, donation and helping hand for needy people.

Riyaz Masni and Nasrulla Shaikh kept the crowd active throughout the programme. Jam packed audience at the auditorium enjoyed the Qirath, Naath competition conducted for the children. All the expenses of the event were shared by Jamaath well-wishers.

Special cricket tournament was arranged. Prizes were sponsored by Br Kolkar M Jaffer / Toufeeq / Abdussalaam for various games for gents, ladies / children. Bumper prizes were sponsored by Kolkar Jaffer and Moulana Abu Mohammed.

The outdoor games for men (Tug-of-war and 30 yards cricket tournament), for children (running race, frog race, sack race, musical chair) and for ladies (ring the win / marble passing) were conducted. All participated with great enthusiasm.

Attractive prizes were given to the lucky winners.

Delicious biryani was provided to all the members gathered. The food was cooked by Br Abu Mohammed Moulana, Shaikh Jaffer, Bhatkal Ibrahim and team. 

Gangolian Welfare Riyadh Unit has a history of organizing such events every year. 

Finally, vice president Br Mh Fatha thanked all the sponsors, donors, volunteers, attendees and executive committee members for extending their support for the noble cause and making this event a grand success.

Arrangements for animal sacrifice (Qurbani) were also made.
