Monica Dogra to launch solo album


New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS): Singer-actress Monica Dogra is set to take her music career to the next level by launching her first solo album in December.

Out of the 10 songs, eight of them are produced by Gaurav from Midival Punditz band and rest two by Prashant from Britain-based electro band Engine Earz.

"I have always wanted and aspired to have my own solo album. And finally it's happening. It has taken a lot of hard work to get to where I am. With the album, I am finally sharing a piece of the candid me with the world," Monica said in a statement.

"I am really thankful to Gaurav and Prashant for being a part of the dream and now all I can do is wait for the album to come out in December," she added.

Meanwhile, she will also be seen sharing screen space with Naseeruddin Shah and his son Vivaan in the upcoming movie "Mastaan".

Bhushan Kumar giving tips to wife for 'Yaariyan'

Divya Khosla is using her husband and producer Bhushan Kumar's music knowledge for the soundtrack of her directorial debut "Yaariyan".

"Bhushan has an excellent ear for music...It would have been silly of me to not take advantage of Bhushan’s skill. He was very hands-on while creating 'Yaariyan' music. His inputs have taken the music to another level," Divya said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Bhushan, who is the chief managing director of record label T-series, has roped some of the best composers for the track.

"We have got on board four different music director - Pritam, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Mithoon and Arko Pravo Mukherjee. All the songs combined have given us a fabulous mix of tracks from youthful to peppy and Sufi to romantic and rock," said Bhushan.

"Yaariyan" is a youthful commercial entertainer, which stars Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh.
