Muscat: 'Telikeda Bolli' Tulu movie gets huge response

Muscat, Oct 28: Tulu theatre lovers had a chance to watch super hit Tulu movie 'Telikeda Bolli' produced by Sharmila Kapikad and Sudhir Kamath, also the debut movie of Arjun Kapikad, son of legendary Tulu actor and director Devdas Kapikad, at Star Cinema here in the heart of city.

All tickets were sold out and about 350 people had to return without watching the movie disappointed at not getting tickets.

 


Prominent personalities including Karnoor Mohan Rai, who bought the rights of the movies for Mumbai and Gulf, were present  during the show.  Dilip Correa introduced Rai to all Tulu theatre lovers.  Dr Sathish Nambiar, Dr Shekar  Salian, S K Poojary,  Kudla Friends trio Suraj Rebello,  Srikanth Shetty, Yuvraj Salian, Divakar Shetty, Ramesh Shettigar, Dr C K Anchan, Shashidhar Shetty, Raviraj Ballal and Raviraj Hegde were present during the brief stage programme held before the start of the movie.   Rai was felicitated by Dr Nambiar and Dr Salian with a memento.

S K Poojary, Tulu art lover and promoter in the Sultanate of Oman, was instrumental in introducing Tulu drama to the Omani audience and now, he played a major role in bringing this hit movie to the movie lovers The movie was based on Kapikad's hit drama 'Gantethand' featuring Kapikad himself along with Naveen D Padil, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Arjun Kapikad, and Ashritha Shetty.
