Sanjay Dutt returns to jail after four weeks parole

Mumbai, Oct 30 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was on a leave of furlough, left his home for Pune this morning to serve his remaining jail term in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

The actor, imprisoned at Pune’s Yerawada Jail, was released on furlough for 14 days on October 1.

Later, he sought an extension which was granted to him for another fortnight. “I thank you for all the support, wish everyone a Happy Diwali,” Dutt told media before leaving for Pune’s Yerawada jail.

According to the jail manual, a convicted prisoner serving his jail term can avail of two options to seek temporary leave from the jail to visit his home, either parole or furlough.
