Dear Jacintha, i have attended the drama. and i enjoyed every bit of it. I agree there were technical errors. But how can u judge the effort that has been put by the actors for your entertainment? It is very easy to criticize so i suggest u take a little time out of your busy schedule and try performing in front of nearly 900 audience. These actors take time from their busy schedule for your entertainment. You should at the most appreciate their effort. While many are appreciating, you are the only one to criticize. I suggest the next time you go to watch a konkani drama, wear good spectacles so you are able to see clearly and get yourself a hearing aid so you can hear clearly as well.

Dear Jacintha, It is very nice to criticize than appreciate. We should see overall performance of the actors. It was not felt in the drama the lack of young talent. The actors did a marvelous job irrespective of their age.We should thank Mr Joseph D'souza ( director ) of the drama for giving a chance to Mr Charles for singing. The people must have bored due to improper background music system. We should always unitedly work for keeping alive our Konkani culture and language.

Being present for the Drama at Thackerey Auditorium, Borivali, my observations are:
    1. As this was the second performance (first was at Bhayandar), more improvements were expected based on the feedback of earlier one. However, this did not happen.
    2. Three live solo songs took away the glitter and were boring. The first theme song could have been tolerable.
    3. The show timing could have been preponed to 6 p.m. or so for the convenience of many who attended from Malad, Andheri & Bhayandar.
    4. The dialogues were barely audible in the last few rows jokes could not be understood due to fast and unclear speech of a few performers and disco lights etc could have added the glitter.
    5. The acting of MLA, Burak Antony, Kishtu and Rockey was superb. However, Kistu was walking too much from left to right and right to left unnecessarily and with a speed. This needs to be slowed down.
    6. The shortage of young upcoming talent was clearly visible all along the drama.
    7. Finally, hats off to our audience for their patience for bearing all these shortcomings silently without any whistling or booing for the love of our mother tongue.
There is scope of much improvement and Mr. Joseph D'Souza, Borivali deserves much applause, pat on the back and encouragement and support for his future endeavors.

drama was nice.. the story could've been to the point.. the punch lines were good..and songs sung by Mr.charles D'cunha were very nice.. they were not long to be boring... on the contrary there was variety in all 3 songs that he sang.. the 1st song esthel was the introductory song the 2nd song rosy elvira was a story in a musical form and the 3rd one was balatkar song which was connected with a relevant issue.. i did not find it boring..music is an integral part of our culture and live singing and not recorded songs is a part of dramatic art.. and i believe that the songs were composed and sung very well

EKV is a nice drama with social theam. But some things spoiled and made the show boring. Drama would have started at 7 pm instead of 8.15 pm. It would have been convenient to all. The songs in between the drama were very boring. No proper sound system. Could not hear the speech and dialogues of most of the actors properly, There was no major sound/light effects.

Wish all the best to entire EKV team for future performance.

Esthel Konachi Vokal-a nice, comedy konkani drama. I had watched this drama in Bhayender and also saw in Borivli. All the characters were excellent and I felt they have improved a lot and given their best at Borivli. The sound system failed to give punch sound wherever required, no smoke display as earlier shown and I feel some part of drama has cut short at an end. If it is true why it was? Otherwise, the drama was excellent and I congratulate my friend Jossy and his team and wish them all the best in future shows.

Thank u very much for your good wishes. Prior to my drama there was one more which ended at 7.15.Bec of the songs I ran short of time and had to cut some part of the scene. Sorry for the smoke light and the sound which was due to some technical fault. Thank u for your encouraging words to me and my team who I am extremely indebted to for their support and co-operation.

I had watched this drama in Bhayandar in the month of April 2013. It was a super hit. I watched this drama again on the 3rd of Nov. The efforts put in by Mr. Joseph, Writer & Director are to be appreciated. Superb acting by Kisthu (Burr mama), made us laugh throughout the Drama. Hats off to you Mr. Kisthu.
To be honest with you the songs sung by Mr. Charles Dcunha were very very boring and spoilled the entire show. Sorry to say that Mr. Dcunha could have performed on a separate day and NOT on this entertaining day of Esthel Konachi Vokal.

The drama was very entertaining and more than expected! All the characters played their role very well. Superb acting of 'Intru', burak mama 'kistu' and marybai. Well done. Songs sung by Mr. Charles were not too entertaining and the drama stretched beyond its schedule. Hats off to Mr. Joseph Dsouza for his script. We should motivate and support more upcoming actors to take our konkani culture forward.

"EKV" is a superb Konkani Drama touching the Social Theme, apt to modern times. With no double meaning words and vulgar display, it was a decent play, to be watched by the family as a whole. It was good to see that the stage function was bare minimum. Pre-recorded songs should have been played instead of live songs which spoiled the spirit. The absence of Disco lights and smoke was felt during dances which could have added more life into it. The voice was not audible behind the hall and the speech was quite fast and not clear of some actors. The acting by MLA and Post Master was excellent, so also Marybai. The absence of young acting talents was felt in the Drama. A good script by Joseph D'Souza, Borivali. Expect more dramas from him.

'Esthel Konachi Vokal' indeed was a nice, social and a complete entertaining pack.it made us laugh till the end. I really appreciate all the characters in the drama. Please do entertain us in the future with this kind of dramas and my best wishes. However it would have been better if all character scenes would have been displayed on this page like Christu and Intru who were truly entertaining. Among the songs sung by Mr.Charles D'Cunha were not up to the mark except the last song.
